I’ve been considering swapping to a 4.11 or even 4.56 gear ratio for better low-end torque, but I’m not sure how it’ll affect daily drivability, fuel economy, and highway RPMs.
Is anyone here running these ratios on their street-driven car or truck? How’s the overall experience?
Any pros, cons, or things to watch out for? Would love to hear your setups and feedback!

I’m running 4.56 gears on my off-road rig that I also daily drive.
Low-end torque is way better — makes a big difference on trails, climbs, and technical terrain.
For daily use, it’s totally manageable. RPMs are a bit higher on the highway, and fuel economy dropped slightly, but nothing crazy.

If you off-road often, 4.56 is worth it. If you still do a lot of highway miles, 4.11 might be a better balance.

Don’t forget to recalibrate your speedometer after the swap.
